He is one of the foremost Retinal surgeons of India, with an experience of 17 years in dealing with complex retina cases. After completing his medical education and doing Masters in Ophthamology from the legendary Grant Medical College, Mumbai he underwent rigorous training at the world renowned Sankara Nethralaya at Chennai.
Dr. Borse is regularly invited as a guest speaker in various national and international conferences. He has conducted several instruction courses for teaching the nuances of retinal surgery. He has performed live retinal surgeries at various conferences. Patient care, utmost attention to their problems and diligent deliverance of best possible care are the main features of his successful practice.
He has been awarded the Dr J M Pahwa award by the Vitreoretinal Society of India & also the Dr V. K Chitnis oration award conferred by the Maharashtra Ophthalmological Society.
He has various research papers published in national and international journals to his credit. He is a Fellow of the American Society of Retina Specialists, Member of The Bombay Ophthalmologists Association, The Maharashtra Ophthalmological Society, All India Ophthalmological Society, The Vitreo-Retinal Society of India, The American Academy of Ophthalmology and International Society of Ocular Trauma.
Well experienced in the field of Ophthalmic anesthesia since past 17 years, she underwent training at the Grant Medical College & J.J.Group of Hospitals. She has been conferred the Diplomate of the National Board in Anaesthesiology.
She further worked as a consultant at the prestigious SankaraNetralaya. Dr.Veena Borse has delivered lectures as part of invited faculty at national level Anesthesia conferences, where she dissipates knowledge regarding ophthalmic anesthesia. Patient care and their interests are the main concerns while she discharges her duties, be it as an anesthetist or as administrator.
